New Hire Orientation

Welcome to House of Ruth Maryland! As a newly hired employee and as a part of your employment, it is a requirement to complete New Hire Orientation (NHO). This training series will help you understand the background of the organization and aid in your success at the agency.

Overview

NHO features a series of “Self-Paced Learning” videos you must view prior to attending the live “Cohort Learning” and “Continued Learning” trainings. Additionally, you will complete your “NHO New Hire Packet” and participate in coaching sessions with your supervisor. You will also be invited to join the Salus Community of Practice. You can keep track of your NHO progress by using the “New Hire Orientation Checklist” featured on page 1 of your “NHO New Hire Packet”. When finished, forward the signed and dated checklist to Human Resources at HumanResources@hruthmd.org. No matter when you were hired, you should be able to complete the entirety of NHO within your first three months.

Below you will find links to download the “NHO Materials” as well as links to watch the “Self-Paced Learning Videos” and to register for the “Cohort Learning” and “Continued Learning” trainings. Simply enter the required information.

If you have any questions or otherwise need assistance navigating New Hire Orientation, please contact Jocelyn Broadwick, Training Institute Project Coordinator, at jbroadwick@hruthmd.org.
