No Discipline Arts Collective, an artist-led initiative committed to producing cross-disciplinarily work breaking down traditional barriers between isolated artists and disciplines, hosted a pop-up art show entitled “REDRESSED” on June 8, 2017. The event raised over $4,000 for House of Ruth Maryland!

REDRESSED highlighted the artistic creations of twenty-five survivors and allies of intimate partner violence. Each artist featured their original work created from deconstructed wedding gowns, jewelry, photographs and other meaningful items that they have donated. The event wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing artists, The Pantry Catering and Chase Court.

“We are excited to be working with No Discipline Arts Collective on their REDRESSED show,” stated Sandi Timmins, Executive Director of House of Ruth Maryland. “This show allowed those affected by intimate partner violence the opportunity to speak out about their experiences by using their artistic and creative voices.”
