Gateway Project Curriculum Training: A Path to Nonviolence

Are you working with an abuse or batterer intervention program and have struggled to find a model that speaks to the experience of those you serve? Join this upcoming House of Ruth Maryland virtual training session where we will share our curriculum, “Gateway Project: A Path To Nonviolence.”

During this four-day seminar, you’ll learn the framework for our nationally recognized, 28-week abuse intervention program designed for men who have used abusive behaviors toward an intimate partner and who also experience system oppressions in their day-to-day lives. This curriculum:

  • is based on an oppression “power & control” framework,
  • includes exercises that explore participants’ experiences of being oppressive and oppressed,
  • is written to be accessible to low literacy populations, and
  • has been peer-reviewed and evaluated.

This course will be held virtually November 7-10, 2022 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET and costs $300 to attend. Group discount rates are available upon request. Contact Stephanie Romano at sromano@hruthmd.org for information or questions.
