Description: This webinar is an interactive opportunity to learn how to reframe common client behaviors through a trauma-informed lens. In addition, basic safety planning for victims of intimate partner violence who are experiencing homelessness will be covered. Meant to serve as a companion to the “Victim Coordinated Entry (VCE): Creating Pathways to Safe Housing for Survivors of Violence” online self-paced learning course, participants will review how trauma affects clients and their reactions as well as how to assess risk, recognize common “red flags,” and plan around these and other signs of danger. Participants will also review common safety planning tools. At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to effectively engage and serve clients experiencing both intimate partner violence and homelessness.

In order to accommodate various scheduling needs, two training dates are being offered for this webinar. The webinar content will be the same both days. Please select only one training date to attend.

This webinar is eligible for 2 Category I Social Work continuing education units. In order to receive these CEUs, those interested MUST:

  • Indicate that CEUs are being requested when registering

  • Attend the full webinar
