Donate Now

Financial donations are the best way to provide immediate help to the women and children who are in need of urgent support.

When victims show up at our door, they come with very little, other than their children and their lives.  At House of Ruth Maryland, we provide the food, shelter, counseling, legal and other services that  will ensure their continued survival.

It’s not a small undertaking, especially since police estimate that there are more than 200,000 incidents of domestic abuse in Maryland each year. Your generosity makes our work possible, and in return we work very hard to ensure every dollar you give makes a real difference in the lives of  battered women and their children.

We thank you for your support, as do all the victims who couldn’t live without it.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and to help the victims of intimate partner violence.  Volunteer opportunities can be for groups, individuals, for a one-time visit or for the long-term and range from administrative assistance to playroom aides to representing House of Ruth Maryland at community events.  Click here to learn more about specific volunteer opportunities and how you can get involved.

B-More Bags

B-More Bags are designed and hand crafted entirely by volunteers. Each bag is an individual work of art: some are classic, others trendy and a few take a walk on the wild side. We use donated designer fabrics and trims, jewelry and embellishments to create truly unique and functional tote bags, handbags, market bags, dressy bags, “stuff” bags, wine bottle bags, and more. All proceeds from the sale of B-More Bags support the House of Ruth Maryland’s services for the victims of intimate partner violence. Since 2005, B-More Bag sales have raised more than $60,000.
