2018 was B-more Bags best sales year ever – selling more than 500 bags made by our volunteers and raising over $12,000 for programs and services at House of Ruth Maryland!

What is B-More Bags?
B-More Bags is an innovative social enterprise started in 2005 where volunteers design and sew beautiful, functional & affordable fabric bags using designer materials.
The skill level required for seamstresses ranges from novice to advanced with opportunities for non-sewers.
What do volunteers do?
Volunteers participate in a variety of activities: sewing, designing prototypes, sourcing bags, cutting patterns, sorting fabric & embellishments, keeping the sewing shop organized, & helping with sales events & promotion.
Sewing can be done at home or in the sewing shop.
There is no minimum requirement for how many hours volunteers contribute.

100% of the purchase price of bags goes directly to House of Ruth Maryland.

How do B-More Bags volunteers work?
B-More Bags has a sewing shop at the House of Ruth Maryland in Northeast Baltimore.
The shop is open several evenings and Saturdays every month.
